TeleTech

TeleTech is a group of CareerTech IT Directors and staff who are working in IT, telecommunications, computer systems, and other aspects of educational technology.

The TeleTech group was formed in the fall of 1997. Our original goal was to serve as a support group for those people at the Oklahoma CareerTech Technology Centers who were assuming new responsibilities for videoconferencing and distance learning.

We started out with about a dozen participants representing the schools that were on-line at that time. Since then we have added more members as additional schools have developed their telecommunications capabilities and as interest in the field has increased. We now have more than 60 members.

We have expanded our member base beyond those involved in videoconferencing to include all Career and Technology education staff who have responsibilities that are technology-related. This includes network administrators, web site developers, and developers of web-based instructional applications, to name a few.

If you are: (1) employed in any area of the Oklahoma CareerTech system; and (2) involved with or interested in any aspect of educational technology, then you should be a member of TeleTech.
